Our story
Straight Talk, Straight Fixes
For years, Prunedale area drivers have brought their cars, trucks, and daily commuters to us for the kind of care you remember: someone who looks you in the eye, tells you what's actually wrong, and fixes it right the first time.
We built this shop on straightforward advice. If your brakes only need an adjustment instead of a full job, we'll tell you that. If your engine needs a complete tune-up and new shocks after decades of sitting, we'll walk you through exactly why. Our customers trust us with everything from routine oil changes and smog checks to full inspections, wheel alignments, and IID calibrations.
We're proud that people send their friends and family our way. That kind of trust doesn't come from being the cheapest shop in town. It comes from being honest about what your vehicle actually needs.

“From my point of view a loving wife, a faithful dog and an honest reliable auto mechanic are all you need in this life. Before I met Edgar and his lovely wife I had 2 out of three... His rates are fair, the work at the shop is first rate, and if something needs doing, or doesn't need doing, I know I can trust Edgar's judgement. I recommend Prunedale Auto Service without reservation.”
“Couldn't say enough nice things about the service and professionalism exhibited by Edgar. Very friendly, very personable and very fair. Took care of my issue almost immediately upon arriving and even saved me a few bucks. In the future I will go here for all my IID calibrations and lockout issues.”
